Poznaj eTwinning:

Miriam Schembri

I have been teaching a kindergarten class for 25 years. I teach at St Thomas More College, Fgura Primary A. Our school is in Fgura which is a very busy town in the southern part of Malta. The kindergarten children are aged 3 to 5.

I began eTwinning in 2005 and began my first project ‘Chocolate and Chips’ with a Scottish partner. This project got first prize in the UK. All consecutive projects were a success. One other project ‘Little Explorers’ got me first prize in Malta and was short listed in the European Awards.

My latest project ‘1, 2 Buckle my Shoes’ was runner up in the ‘Maths and Science’ category in the European eTwinning Awards. I co-operate with partners from Poland, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Iceland, Romania, Ireland, Czech Republic and Scotland.

During my four years of eTwinning I have learnt many ICT skills, learnt about new ICT tools and observed teaching methodologies from all over Europe. I have also made a lot of new friends.

During this PDW, my Polish partner, Ewa and me will be presenting our latest project ‘1, 2 Buckle my Shoes’
